Riding on the booming electric vehicles (EVs) market, battery metals market comprising copper, cobalt, lithium, and nickel are growing at a rapid pace, presenting lucrative opportunities for exploration and development companies focused on such metals. Trilogy metals is one such company, focused on exploring and developing the Ambler mining district (Arctic VMS deposit and Bornite carbonate replacement deposit) located in northwestern Alaska, one of the richest and most-prospective known copper-dominant districts. As part of the 8,000m infill and expansive drilling at the Bornite property, Trilogy completed five drill holes totaling 5,267 meters, with results from drill hole RC18-247 returning 5.34% copper and 0.21% cobalt over 16.4 meters. Once the drilling program is completed, Trilogy intends to move forward on an updated copper-cobalt resource estimate at the Bornite Project.
