MetLife has appointed Michel Khalaf as its President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Member effective May 01, 2019. Michel Khalaf will be replacing Steven Kandarian who will be transitioning into retirement. Michel has served as MetLife’s President of EMEA since 2011 and in July 2017 took responsibility for the company’s U.S. Business. These U.S. corporate duties included overseeing the Group Benefits, Retirement & Income Solutions, and Property & Casualty and Global Employee Benefits divisions. Prior to his stint as President of EMEA, Michel Khalaf was executive vice-president and CEO of MetLife’s Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.
