First Cobalt, a vertically-integrated pure-play cobalt company, recently reported new drill results from its Iron Creek Cobalt Project in Idaho, US, that depicted thicker cobalt mineralized zones and mineralization between the two recognized zones. Drilling highlights included 0.35% Co over 25.7m (hole ICS18-03), 0.34% Co over 22.6m (hole IC18-29), and 0.27% Co over 27.8m (hole ICS18-02). Last month, the company reported an Inferred Resource estimate of 26.9 million tonnes grading 0.11% cobalt equivalent. The aim of ongoing drilling at the project is to extend the strike length of the mineralized zone from over 500 metres to over 1,000 metres and test down dip extensions of known cobalt-copper zones from 150 metres to over 300 metres below surface.
