In a bid to cut costs as well as bureaucracy within the company, Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) announced its plan to cut down 7,000 white-collar jobs worldwide. These jobs currently account for about 10% of Ford’s global salaried workforce. The move is expected to save $600 million a year, and will be completed by August 2019. In the US, about 2,300 jobs will cut; with around 1,500 of them will be eliminated through a voluntary buyouts offer.
