Citi announces new Chairman of the Board

Citi’s Board of Directors has announced that Chairman Michael O’Neill will retire on January 1, 2019 and the Board has selected John C. Dugan to succeed O’Neill as Chairman on that date.

Citi Bank (NYSE: C) announced the retirement of its Chairman Michael O’Neill on January 1, 2019, and the appointment of John Dugan as a successor. Currently, Dugan serves as a Citi Director, and was previously a partner at Covington & Burling LLP for 7 years where he advised on financial institution regulatory matters from 1993 to 2005. Mr. Dugan has held various positions at organizations like Covington’s Financial Institutions Group, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and U.S. Department of the Treasury.
