Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) announced its intent to acquire HTBASE, a company that develops software-defined management platform integrating server, storage, and network resources. JNPR is an American multinational corporation that develops and markets networking products. Its product portfolio includes routers, switches, network management software, network security products, and software-defined networking technology. HTBASE has developed a highly unique and disruptive platform for software-defined enterprise multicloud. This platform offers a single layer of compute, networking and storage across public and private clouds as well as simplifies the management of multi-cloud environments. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018.
