Volvo has cancelled shipment of its U.S. built S60 sedan to China given the rising tensions in global trade. Nearly half of the Charleston facility’s S60 output was designated for China, but the automaker will now focus on producing S60s for the U.S. and Europe. Further, Volvo will also stop importing the XC60 SUV to the U.S. from China, instead relying on European imports. Additionally, Volvo will considerably reduce S90 sedan shipments from China as well.
