Venezuela has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization against U.S. sanctions, stating imposed restrictions on Americans purchasing or dealing with any cryptocurrency issued by Venezuela is discriminatory. Venezuela claims that U.S. is infringing on its rights under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) signed in 1994 and the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS).
