U.S.-based digital asset financial services firm BitGo is launching off-chain clearing and settlement service for its regulated BitGo Trust Company clients. In the off-chain process, BitGo will act as the custodian on either side, while ensuring that assets never leave custody when being transferred and counterparty risk is minimized. The service will be offered to over-the-counter trading desks, single dealer platforms, exchanges, asset managers, and broker-dealers.
