$13 billion Seagate is using the IBM Blockchain to build a new kind of supply chain for fighting counterfeiters.

It was announced on Tuesday, November 6th that leading technology company IBM would be partnering with hardware manufacturer Seagate in an effort to prevent any counterfeit blockchain technologies to be used on their systems. The process will log Seagate-produced drives onto the IBM Blockchain Platform and will block fakes from having access to data servers and from being distributed to end users. While IBM is considering the allowance of retail customers to also use the platform to track counterfeits, they mention it will take some time before making it available.
