Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. has appointed Charles Wagner as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Charles Wagner has extensive experience in corporate finance and health care. He has held many key positions in both public and private companies. Prior to joining Vertex, Mr. Wagner served as the CFO and EVP of Finance at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, a Carlyle Group portfolio company. He has also worked with companies such as Bruker Corp., Progress Software Corp., and Millipore Corp. as the CFO; Bain & Co. and Coopers & Lybrand as an advisor.
