FCA US LLC (NYSE: FCAU) reported that it sold 172,900 vehicles in April 2019, compared to 184,149 vehicles for the same period in prior year, a decline of 6% YoY. However, the decline was partially offset by Ram brand sales, which surged 25% to 53,811 vehicles sold in April. Ram pickup sales had their second consecutive month of record sales with 49,106 vehicles sold. Retail sales accounted for 129,382 vehicles and fleet accounted for 25% of total sales. On a year-to-date basis, fleet accounted for 27% of total sales. FCA US LLC will end its practice of reporting U.S. and Canada sales on a monthly basis following June results.
