Teledyne Technologies Inc. is acquiring Scientific Imaging businesses of Roper Technologies Inc. in an all-cash transaction for $225 million. Roper’s Scientific Imaging businesses include Princeton Instruments, Photometrics, and Lumenera, as well as other brands. These Scientific Imaging businesses would provide synergies to Teledyne as they have similar capabilities and are highly complementary. These additional businesses will provide a range of imaging solutions, primarily for life sciences, academic research and customized OEM industrial imaging solutions. The transaction is anticipated to close in the first quarter of 2019 and is subject to approvals.
