Trilogy Metals Inc., a junior explorer focused on exploring the highly prospective copper-dominant Ambler mining district in northwestern Alaska recently provided an update on its project activities. At the Bornite Project, an analysis on the copper and cobalt resource incorporating the updated copper and cobalt metallurgical and drill results from the 2017 and 2018 drill campaigns has recently been completed. The 2019 program includes a budget of $9.2 million for Bornite, and will be directed at 10,000 meters or 12 holes of infill and expansion drilling. Additionally, metallurgical work will be undergone to optimize copper recoveries and determine next steps for cobalt recovery. Initial engineering studies to prepare Bornite for a preliminary economic assessment will commence once the 2019 work programs are completed. At the Arctic Project, Trilogy has began preparations for the summer field season encompassing advanced engineering and environmental work in 2019 to complete a feasibility study and prepare the project for permitting. Additionally, the company will complete a $2 million exploration program along the 100-km Ambler volcanogenic massive sulphide Belt funded equally by Trilogy and South32.
